Stick Archer Tips: Aim, Wind & Headshots

Stick Archer is a turn-based duel, so every shot counts. Twelve rival archers stand in your way, each with more health, better aim and a longer distance than the last. Wind changes every turn, and a headshot does far more damage than a body hit. These tips help you aim more consistently and keep your health up for the later duels.

Learn one angle

It is easier to adjust power than both angle and power at once. Pick a comfortable angle, around 45 degrees for long shots, and keep it the same. Then change only the length of your drag from shot to shot. The dotted line shows the start of the arc, so use it to stay consistent. A longer drag always means a stronger shot.

Adjust from your misses

Watch where your arrow lands. If it falls short, drag a little longer next time; if it flies over, a little shorter. Small changes work best. Remember where your successful shot was on the drag, because the next duel will need a similar pull with a small correction. Rivals stand at different distances, so expect to adjust on each new duel.

Read the wind

The wind flag shows direction and strength, and it changes every turn. A headwind shortens your shot, a tailwind makes it travel farther. Correct with power rather than angle. The wind gets stronger as you face later rivals, so check the flag before every single shot. Later rivals stand farther away, which makes the wind matter even more.

Aim for the head

A body hit deals 30 damage and a leg only 18, but a headshot deals 50 and adds bonus points. Once you have the range, aim slightly higher to catch the head. From the third rival on, a hill can stand between you, so pick an arc high enough to clear it. Leg hits still count, so a slightly low shot is not wasted.

Win quickly

After each win you regain some health, but not all of it. Rivals hit back, and later ones aim very well, so a quick knockout keeps more health for the next duel. If your health is low, focus on consistent body hits rather than risky headshots.
