Domino Run Tips: Ring the Bell in Par
Domino Run is about building a chain reaction that rings the bell. Each of the 25 levels gives you a scene with gaps and a small toolbox of dominoes, balls, ramps and shelves. Using no more pieces than the par earns three stars. These tips explain how each piece behaves and how to find the fix when a run fails.

Space dominoes correctly
A falling domino has to reach the next one, so the gap between them must be smaller than a domino's height. If they are too far apart, the chain simply stops. Use the placement preview to line each new domino up with its neighbours, and leave a little less than its height between them.
Use balls and ramps
Balls roll faster down long slopes, and that speed is what carries them up a ramp or across a gap. Drop a ball higher on a slope to give it more speed. Ramps redirect a ball upward or over an obstacle; press F to flip a ramp to face the other way. A ball hitting a domino near its top knocks it over most reliably.
Bridge gaps with shelves
Wooden shelves create a floor where there was none. Use them to give a rolling ball a path across an empty space, or to hold a domino at a new height. Place the shelf first, then the pieces that sit on it, so the preview shows exactly where each one will rest.
Find where the chain breaks
If a run fails, watch where the motion stops: that is where a piece is missing or misplaced. Press R to reset, adjust only that spot and try again. Tap a placed piece to take it back into the toolbox. Changing one thing at a time makes it much easier to see what actually fixed the problem. The preview shows where a piece will land before you place it, so use it when adjusting.
Hit the par for three stars
The par is shown at the top of the screen. Using no more pieces than the par earns three stars, one extra piece earns two, and any solution earns at least one. Solve the level first with whatever works, then look for a piece you can remove, such as a ball that could replace two dominoes. Watching a successful run again often shows which piece did little or nothing.
Questions
- Do I have to use every piece in the toolbox?
- No. Use as few pieces as you need. Fewer pieces than the toolbox holds is often the way to reach par.
- How do I flip a ramp?
- Press F on a keyboard to switch the direction a ramp faces before you place it.
- Can I stop a run early?
- Yes. Press Enter to stop the run, or R to reset the level and return to building.
