How to Win at Turbo Rally 3D: Drift & Nitro Tips

Turbo Rally 3D races last three laps against five rivals, and you start at the back of the grid. Raw speed alone will not get you to the front: you need clean drifts, smart nitro and a racing line that keeps you out of the mud and sand. These tips cover every part of a race, from the start lights to the Championship table.

Nail the rocket start

The countdown is your first chance to gain places. Be on the gas in the final moment before GO and keep holding it, and your car launches with a short turbo boost. Letting go of the gas just before the start cancels it. Since you start sixth, a rocket start often gains a place or two before the first corner.

Drift to charge mini-turbos

Hold drift while steering at speed to slide through a corner. Sparks at the rear wheels show the charge: blue means a mini-turbo is ready, orange means the longer, stronger super turbo. Steering into the drift charges it faster, while running onto the verge slows the charge. Release drift on the corner exit to fire the boost.

Hitting a wall hard cancels a drift and throws the charge away, so keep slides clear of barriers. Leaving the ground off a jump releases the drift at once and fires whatever you have charged, so plan long drifts to end before a ramp.

Spend nitro on the straights

Nitro raises your top speed for as long as you hold it. The bar starts about a third full and refills slowly by itself, faster while you drift and fastest while you are in the air. Fire it on long straights, not into corners where you would have to slow down anyway. Nitro adds to a mini-turbo, so firing it on a drift exit gives a big burst.

Learn each track's trap

Red Canyon has two jumps and soft sand beside the road. Frost Pines is slippery, so turn in earlier and drift gently. Harbor Nights leaves little room off the road, and Mud Temple has mud puddles that cut your speed and grip. Off the road your top speed drops sharply, so the racing line always wins.

Time Trial and Championship

In Time Trial you race alone against the ghost of your best lap, saved for each track. The Championship runs four races with points of 25, 18, 15, 12, 10 and 8, so steady podiums usually beat one win followed by a bad race. When you lead the standings, drive safely rather than forcing risky overtakes.
