How to Win at Sky Climber: Jumping Game Tips
Sky Climber bounces you upward automatically, so your only job is steering left and right. Your score is the height you reach in metres plus bonus points from stars and sky imps. As you climb, platforms spread out and tricky types appear. These tips will help you go higher than ever.

Know your platforms
Most platforms are solid and stay put. Some slide from side to side, so aim for where they will be when you land. Others vanish after one bounce, so do not rely on them twice. Some platforms carry a spring that launches you much higher than a normal bounce; land near its centre to trigger it.
Look ahead before you land
Watch the platforms above you while you are still rising, and pick your next landing before you start to fall. As you climb higher, the gaps between platforms get bigger, so there is less room for error. Steer early and gently rather than making big last-moment swings.
On a phone you can tilt the device or hold the left or right side of the screen, and on a computer use the arrow keys or A and D. Tilting gives smooth control once you get used to it, but holding the screen is more precise for small corrections.
Use the screen wrap
Going off one edge of the screen brings you back on the other. If the next platform is far to the right, it is sometimes quicker to steer left through the edge. This trick can save you from a long sideways journey and is often the only way to reach a platform in time.
Deal with sky imps
Sky imps start appearing once you have climbed a fair way. Landing on one from above stomps it for 50 bonus points and bounces you up. Touching one from the side or below ends your run, so only go for a stomp when you are clearly falling onto it. Otherwise steer well around.
Grab stars and carpets
Stars are scattered around and add 10 points each. Further up, a magic carpet may appear on a platform; grab it and it carries you rapidly upward for a few seconds, defeating any imps in your path. Do not risk a fall to reach a star, but always take a carpet when you can.

- What happens if I touch an imp from the side?
- Your run ends. Only touch imps by landing on them from above.
- Why did a platform disappear?
- Some platforms vanish after one bounce. Plan your next jump before you land on them.
