Snakes & Ladders is a classic family dice race. Everyone starts off the board and takes turns rolling one big die. Hop your token square by square along the colourful 10 by 10 board, climb every wooden ladder you land at the foot of, and try not to stop on a snake’s head, or you slide all the way down to its tail. The first player to land exactly on square 100 wins. Play against one to three computer players, pass one device around with up to four friends, or play online with up to four players.

- Turn on “Roll again” for a faster, wilder game: every 6 gives you an extra roll.
- Near the top, “Stay put” is kinder: you never bounce back onto the snakes on 93 and 98.
- The long ladder from 28 to 56 is the best shortcut on the board, and the snake on 62 is the one to fear.

- Do I need a 6 to start?
- No. Everyone starts off the board and your first roll moves you straight onto squares 1 to 6.
- What happens if my roll goes past 100?
- It depends on the option you pick: with “Bounce back” you walk to 100 and back down by the extra steps; with “Stay put” your token does not move and you try again next turn.
- Can I play online with friends?
- Yes. Online games have 2 to 4 players, every player sees the same dice, and if someone leaves, a computer player takes over their token.
