Hex Fit

📖 Read the strategy guide ›

Hex Fit is a block puzzle on a honeycomb. Drag colourful hexagon clusters from your tray onto the six-sided board. Fill a complete line in any of the three directions and it bursts away, making room for more. Clear several lines with one piece, or keep clearing turn after turn, to build big combos. There is no timer: the game only ends when none of your three pieces fits anywhere.

How to play

  1. Drag a piece from the tray onto the hex board.
  2. Fill a full line in any of the three directions to clear it.
  3. Clear several lines at once, or in a row, for combo points.
  4. Three new pieces arrive once you have placed all three.
  5. The game ends when no piece in your tray fits.

Controls

Computer
Drag pieces with the mouse. Or press 1, 2 or 3 to pick a piece, move it with the arrow keys and press Enter to place it.
Phone and tablet
Drag a piece from the tray and drop it on the board. The piece floats above your finger so you can see where it goes.

Tips

  • Keep the middle of the board open: its lines are the longest and hardest to fill.
  • Each cell sits on three lines, so one piece can clear lines in several directions.
  • Save single hexes for the awkward gaps.

Questions

Can pieces be rotated?
No. Pieces are placed as they appear, so plan where each shape fits.
Is the piece order random?
Yes, but a shared challenge link uses the same seed, so friends get the same pieces in the same order.
