Crazy Eights is the classic shedding card game played with an ordinary 52-card deck. Play a card that matches the suit or the rank of the top card on the pile, and use an eight at any time to change the suit to whatever you like. Can't play? Draw from the deck. The first player to empty their hand wins the hand and scores the cards left in the other hands. Play against one, two or three computer opponents and race to a target score of 50, 100 or 200 points.
How to play
- Choose how many computer opponents to face and the target score.
- Play a card that matches the suit or the rank of the top card on the pile.
- An eight can be played on anything: then pick the new suit.
- If you cannot play, draw from the deck until you can.
- Empty your hand first to win the hand and score the cards your rivals still hold.
- The first player to reach the target score wins the match.

Tips
- Save your eights for when you are stuck or about to go out: they are worth 50 points against you if you are caught holding one.
- Play high picture cards early to limit the points you give away.
- Watch which suits your rivals draw on and switch to them with an eight.
Questions
- How are points scored?
- The winner of a hand scores the cards left in the other hands: eights are worth 50, picture cards 10, aces 1 and other cards their face value.
- What happens when the deck runs out?
- The played pile is shuffled to form a new deck. If nobody can play at all, the hand is blocked and the lowest hand wins.
