Checkers is the classic strategy board game of diagonal jumps. Move your pieces forward, jump over your rival's pieces to capture them and reach the far side to crown a king. Play the computer on Easy, Medium or Hard, or challenge a friend on the same device.
How to play
- Choose vs AI or 2 players, and a difficulty level.
- Move pieces one square diagonally forward.
- Jump over an enemy piece to capture it; capturing is mandatory.
- Keep jumping if another capture is available.
- Reach the last row to crown a king, which can also move backwards. Capture or block all enemy pieces to win.
Controls
- Computer
- Click a piece, then click the square to move to. Arrow keys and Enter also work, and there is an Undo button.
- Phone and tablet
- Tap a piece, then tap where it should go.
Tips
- Keep your back row filled for as long as you can to stop rival kings.
- Trade pieces when you are ahead.
- Remember captures are forced, so you can set traps.
