How to Win at Trivia Party: Speed, Streaks and Smart Guesses
Trivia Party rewards two things at once: knowing the answer and tapping it quickly. Every match has 10 questions with four answers and 15 seconds each. A right answer is worth from 1000 points down to 500 depending on your speed, a streak of right answers adds up to +300, and the last question counts double. This guide explains how the points work, when to guess, how to protect your streak and how to beat the computer players and your friends online.

Know how the points work
A right answer is worth at least 500 points, plus up to 500 more that shrink as the clock runs down: tap at once and you get close to 1000, answer at the buzzer and you still get 500. A wrong answer, or no answer at all, scores nothing. Speed only pays when you are right, so a correct answer after ten seconds always beats a fast wrong one.
Streaks add a bonus on top: +100 for your second right answer in a row, +200 for the third and +300 for every one after that. A wrong answer or running out of time resets the streak. The tenth question doubles everything, streak bonus included, so a quick right answer there can be worth more than 2500 points.
Read all four answers, then commit
Read the question to the end and watch for small words such as not, largest or first, which change the right answer completely. Then glance at all four answers before you tap: your first tap is final, and the best answer is not always the first one that looks familiar.
On a computer, keep your fingers on the 1-4 keys (or A-D): it is faster than moving the mouse. When the answers are numbers, they are listed from smallest to largest, so make a quick estimate and pick the closest one.
Guess smart when you are unsure
Never let the timer run out. A wrong answer costs you exactly the same as no answer, nothing but your streak, while a lucky guess still earns at least 500 points. Rule out the answers you know are wrong first: choosing between two is a coin flip, choosing between four is much worse.
If you are going to guess, guess early. Spending ten seconds staring at a question you cannot answer only lowers the value of a lucky guess. Save your thinking time for questions you can actually work out.
Practise the categories that suit you
The bank holds more than 400 questions across ten categories: Geography, Science, Sports, Movies & music, History, Food, Animals, Space, Words and General. Mix gives you one question from each, while a single category lets you play to your strengths or practise a weak subject in Solo against the clock. Questions come back from time to time, so remembering answers really pays.
Three achievements reward good play: Quick thinker for a right answer in under 3 seconds, On fire for five right answers in a row, and Perfect 10 for answering every question of a match correctly.
Beat the computer and your friends
In vs AI mode you face three computer players: Easy, Medium and Hard. Hard answers correctly most of the time and fairly fast, so to beat it you need steady, quick answers and long streaks. Never give up early: the double final question can swing more than 2000 points.
Online, up to 8 players share a room and everyone sees the same question at the same moment, so the fastest right answer wins the most points. Answers are sent live and every device computes the same scores. If someone leaves, the match goes on for the others.
Questions
- Does a wrong answer cost points?
- No. A wrong answer scores 0 and resets your streak, but your total never goes down.
- How much is the last question worth?
- Double: both the speed points and the streak bonus are multiplied by two, up to about 2600 points for an instant answer with a full streak.
- Can I play Trivia Party online with friends?
- Yes. From 2 to 8 players can join one room and answer the same questions live, each in their own language.
