How to Win at Street Racer: Driving Tips & Strategy
Street Racer is an endless drive, so winning means beating your own best score. Points come from distance, coins, fuel cans and close calls, and the run ends with one crash or an empty tank. The road keeps getting faster, so planning ahead matters more than quick reactions.

Know where points come from
Distance gives a steady stream of points that grows with your speed. On top of that, each coin is worth 25, each fuel can 40, and passing very close to another car earns a 50-point close call. Coins come in short lines in one lane, so a single lane change often collects a whole row.
Fuel comes first
Your tank drains all the time, and faster driving drains it a little quicker. One can refills almost half the tank. When the low-fuel beep starts, the next fuel can is your only priority, because running dry ends the run just like a crash. Fuel cans also appear more often when your tank is low, so stay calm.
Watch the gauge rather than waiting for the warning. If you see a fuel can and your tank is around half, take it anyway, as long as the lane is clear. Topping up early is far safer than hunting for fuel in heavy traffic.
Take close calls on your terms
Close calls are worth twice as much as a coin, but they are risky. The safe way to earn them is to pass a car you are already overtaking in the next lane, rather than cutting in front of one. Never switch lanes into a gap you cannot see the end of.
Look further ahead as you speed up
The car keeps accelerating for the first couple of minutes of a run, so the time you have to react gets shorter. Keep your eyes on the top half of the screen and plan your next two lane changes, not just the next one. A middle lane gives you an escape route on both sides.
Do not chase everything
A row of coins in a crowded lane is rarely worth the risk. Twenty-five points is nothing compared with the distance points you lose by crashing early. Pick up coins when the lane is clear, skip them when it is not, and keep a long run going.
Questions
- How much is a close call worth?
- Each close call adds 50 points, twice a coin.
- How much fuel does one can give?
- Almost half a tank, plus 40 points.
- Does the game get faster?
- Yes. Your speed keeps rising during a run, so you get more points per second but less time to react.
