Spider Patience is the much-loved two-deck solitaire game. Ten columns of cards are dealt from 104 cards, and your goal is to build complete runs from King down to Ace in a single suit. Each finished run leaves the table, and clearing all eight wins the game. Choose 1 suit for a relaxing game, 2 suits for a challenge or 4 suits for a real test. Unlimited undo, hints and a seeded deal make it easy to learn and to share a deal with a friend.
How to play
- Choose 1, 2 or 4 suits on the title screen.
- Move a card onto any card exactly one rank higher, whatever its suit.
- Only runs of the same suit in descending order can be moved together.
- When no moves are left, tap the deck to deal one new card on every column.
- A complete King-to-Ace run in one suit is cleared automatically; clear all eight to win.
Controls
- Computer
- Drag cards with the mouse, or click a card to send it to the best column. U or Ctrl+Z undoes, H shows a hint, D deals a new row.
- Phone and tablet
- Drag cards with your finger, or tap a card to send it to the best column. Tap the deck to deal a new row.
Tips
- Try to empty a column early: an empty column is the most powerful space in the game.
- Build in the same suit whenever you can, mixed-suit runs are hard to move later.
- Make every useful move before dealing a new row, since the deal covers all columns.
Questions
- How is the score calculated?
- You start with 500 points. Each move costs 1 point and each completed run gives 100 points.
- Can every deal be won?
- Most 1-suit deals can be won. With 2 and 4 suits some deals are very hard, so use undo and hints freely.
