How to Solve Laser Bounce: Mirror Puzzle Tips
Laser Bounce is a light puzzle where you turn mirrors, place spare mirrors and split the beam until every crystal glows. Every level starts from a working solution, so there is always an answer. The trick is to stop guessing and trace the beam with a plan. Here is how.

Work backwards from each crystal
Instead of following the laser forward and hoping, start at a crystal and ask which squares could send light into it. A beam can only arrive along a straight row or column, so look along those lines for a mirror or an empty square where you could place one. Connecting that path back to the laser is often much easier.
Know how mirrors behave
Each mirror has two angles, and tapping switches between them. A mirror turns the beam ninety degrees, so it sends light coming from the side up or down, and light from above or below sideways. Walls block the beam completely. Before tapping, picture both angles and pick the one that sends light where you need it.
Use splitters when you need two beams
A beam splitter lets the laser pass straight through and reflect at the same time. When there are more crystals than lasers, a splitter is usually part of the answer. Look for a square where one beam can carry on to one crystal while the reflected beam heads for another. On a keyboard, Tab switches the type of spare you are placing.
Spare mirrors are limited, so place them only where a turn is truly needed. If a placed spare is not helping, drag it off the grid to take it back and try a different square. Moving one spare is often all it takes to complete a level.
Ignore the decoys
Not every mirror on the board is needed. Some are decoys that pull the beam off course. If a mirror sits on your planned path but sends light the wrong way whichever way you turn it, the answer is often to route the beam around it. Do not assume a mirror must be used just because it is there.
Score well
Each level scores more as the levels go up, with a bonus for speed. A hint fixes one mirror from the solution but costs 30 points. Undo and Restart are free, so experiment with those first. Solving level 25 or higher without hints earns the Laser Genius achievement, so practise the backwards method on easier boards.
Questions
- What is the best way to start a level?
- Pick a crystal and trace backwards along its row and column to find a mirror or empty square that could feed it light.
- Do I have to use every mirror?
- No. Some mirrors are decoys. Only the mirrors on the solution path matter.
- When do I need a beam splitter?
- Usually when there are more crystals than lasers, so one beam must reach two targets.
