Spades is the classic partnership trick-taking card game for four players. You and your partner sit opposite each other, look at your 13 cards and bid how many tricks you will win together. Spades are always trumps, but nobody can lead them until they have been broken. Make your contract to score 10 points per trick bid, take care with extra tricks because every 10 bags cost 100 points, and dare a Nil bid for a 100-point bonus. Play against smart computer players or online with friends, with bots filling any empty seat.
コツ
- Count your sure tricks: aces, protected kings and long spades. Bidding a little low is safer than going set, but too many bags will cost you 100 points.
- Bid Nil with low cards in every suit and few spades; when your partner bids Nil, win tricks early with your high cards to protect them.
- Keep track of the spades that have been played so you know when your high spades and side-suit aces are the best cards left.
よくある質問
- What are bags in Spades?
- A bag is every trick your team wins above its contract. Each one scores a single point, but when your team collects 10 bags you lose 100 points and the count starts again.
- How does a Nil bid work?
- Bidding Nil means you promise to win no trick at all. If you manage it your team gets 100 points; if you win even one trick your team loses 100. Your partner’s bid still counts as a normal contract.
- Can I play Spades online with friends?
- Yes. Start an online match with 2 to 4 players; any empty seat is played by a computer player, and if someone leaves, a bot takes over their seat until they come back.
