Hearts is the classic trick-taking card game for four players, and here you play against three computer opponents. Before each hand you pass three cards left, right or across. Then follow suit, try to avoid tricks with hearts in them, and stay well away from the queen of spades worth 13 points. Brave players can shoot the moon by taking every point, giving everyone else 26. When someone reaches 100 points, the lowest score wins.
How to play
- Pick three cards to pass and press Pass (every fourth hand there is no passing).
- The 2 of clubs leads the first trick.
- Follow the led suit if you can; the highest card of that suit wins the trick.
- Each heart is 1 point and the queen of spades is 13. Hearts cannot be led until one has been played.
- The game ends when someone reaches 100. The lowest score wins.

Tips
- Pass high spades if you do not hold enough low spades to protect them.
- Try to empty a suit early so you can throw away dangerous cards.
- Watch for a player collecting every point: stop them shooting the moon by taking one heart.
Questions
- What is shooting the moon?
- If one player takes all 13 hearts and the queen of spades, they score 0 and every other player gets 26 points.
- Can I lead hearts?
- Only after a heart has been played in an earlier trick, or if you have nothing but hearts.
