Color Book Tips: Relaxing Colouring Made Easy
Color Book has no timer and no way to lose, but a few tricks make colouring easier and the results nicer. There are 20 original drawings, from a sleepy cat to detailed mandalas, and two ways to play: free colour and paint by numbers. This guide covers filling small areas, picking colours that work together and finishing more pictures.

Start with paint by numbers
In By numbers mode every area shows the colour it needs, and when you pick a colour its matching areas glow. Work through one colour at a time: select it, fill every glowing area, then move to the next. This is fast and relaxing, and it also teaches you how the colours in each picture work together.
Fill tiny areas easily
Some pictures, especially the mandalas, have very small areas. You do not need to tap exactly inside them: tap close to a tiny area and the game finds it for you. On a keyboard, the arrow keys can move between colours and areas, and Enter fills the selected one, which is precise for detailed parts. If you fill the wrong area, just undo and try again.
Choose a simple palette
In Free colour mode, pick two or three main colours and one accent before you begin. Use lighter shades for large areas and stronger colours for small details. Repeating the same colour in different parts of the picture makes it look planned. If a colour does not look right, use undo, or Z on a keyboard.
Work from big to small
Fill the background and the largest shapes first, because they set the mood of the whole picture. Then add the medium areas and finish with the details. This order makes it easier to judge which colours stand out and keeps you from changing small areas again and again. Similar colours side by side look soft and calm, while contrasting colours make details pop.
Finish more pictures
Your score is the number of pictures you finish in one session, so pick simpler drawings when you want a quick sense of progress, and save the mandalas for a longer sit. Your colours are saved on your device, separately for each mode, so you can leave a picture half done and come back later. Short sessions are fine, because nothing is lost when you stop.
