Beach Spike

📖 Read the strategy guide ›

Beach Spike is a sunny two-on-two beach volleyball game. You and a computer teammate face a pair of rivals on the sand. Your player runs to the ball on their own, so the skill is all in the timing: tap as the ring closes to bump, set or spike, and tap the far court to choose where your spike lands. Perfect touches send faster, sharper balls. Rallies are quick, the points come fast, and matches go to 11 or 15 points with three difficulty levels.

How to play

  1. Pick a difficulty and a match length (11 or 15 points), then press Play.
  2. Tap to toss the ball and tap again at the top to serve.
  3. When the ring around the ball closes, tap to bump, set or spike.
  4. Before your spike, tap the opponents' court where you want the ball to land.
  5. Win rallies to score points. The first team to the target with a 2-point lead wins.

Controls

Computer
Click or press Space to bump, set, spike and serve. Click on the far court, or use the Left and Right arrow keys, to aim your spike.
Phone and tablet
Tap the screen in time with the ring to play the ball. Tap on the opponents' side of the court to aim your spike or serve.

Tips

  • Watch the ring, not the ball: a perfect tap gives a much stronger spike.
  • Aim for the gap between the two defenders.
  • A ball heading out of the court can be left alone, and the point is yours.

Questions

Do I have to move my player?
No. Your player runs to the ball automatically. You control the timing of every touch and the direction of your spikes and serves.
How do I beat Hard mode?
Go for perfect timing on every touch and spike into open space. Strong spikes are much harder for the computer to dig.
