Tiny Garden Guide: Grow More Coins Faster

Tiny Garden is a cozy idle game, but a little planning makes your garden grow much faster. Every plant has a seed price, a growing time and a selling price, and upgrades change how much work you need to do. This guide explains which plants pay best, how watering works and which upgrades to buy first.

Keep every pot watered

A plant only grows while it has water, and one watering lasts roughly 14 seconds of growth. A thirsty plant simply stops, so a big, slow plant left dry earns nothing. Check your pots regularly and water any that show a drop. When you are actively playing, watering often matters more than which seed you choose. A water drop shows which pots are thirsty.

Choose plants by stage

Early on, radishes and carrots grow in seconds and need little watering, so they turn your first coins into more quickly. Slower plants earn more per second per pot: a moon melon sells for 230 coins from an 80-coin seed. But slow plants need many waterings, so switch to them once you have more pots or a sprinkler. Sunflowers and pumpkins make a good middle step between the two.

Buy more pots

Your first three pots are free, and each extra pot costs more than the last. More pots means more harvests at once, and that multiplies everything else. Buy new pots whenever the price is a small part of what your garden earns, before saving for expensive seeds. Extra pots also make the sprinkler and helper bee more valuable, since they work on every pot.

Pick upgrades in the right order

The sprinkler waters every pot for you, so you never need to water again, and it lets plants keep growing while you are away. It is the best first big purchase. Fertiliser and fancy pots make plants grow faster. The helper bee harvests and sells for you, which suits slower plants that you do not want to watch.

Grow while you are away

Your garden keeps growing for up to two hours after you close the game. Without a sprinkler, plants stop once their water runs out, so offline growth is short. With a sprinkler, plant your slowest, most valuable crops before leaving, and they will be ready to harvest when you return. When you return, the game tells you that your garden grew while you were away.

Questions

What is the most valuable plant?
The moon melon sells for 230 coins, the highest of all, but it takes the longest to grow and must be unlocked first.
How do I unlock new plants?
New seeds unlock as you earn coins. Each plant has an unlock amount, from carrots at 20 coins up to moon melons at 1400.
Do I need to water after buying the sprinkler?
No. The sprinkler waters every pot for you, both while you play and while you are away.
