Sky Pilot Tips: Survive Waves & Beat the Bosses
Sky Pilot fires automatically, so your job is movement and choices. Enemy squadrons, divers, gunboats and blimps attack in waves, and a flying fortress arrives every five waves. Power-ups decide how fast you clear the screen. These tips help you dodge more bullets, build stronger weapons and save your bombs for the moments that matter.

Fly low and move small
Stay in the lower part of the screen. Bullets have farther to travel to reach you, which gives you more time to react. Make small, calm movements between bullets rather than big sweeps across the screen, which often fly you into a second stream of fire. Watch where enemies aim, not just where bullets are. Gentle weaving also sweeps your guns across more targets.
Level up your weapon
Picking up the same weapon again powers it up, to a maximum of level 3. Picking up the other weapon switches type but keeps your level. Losing a life drops your weapon by one level, so staying alive also keeps your firepower. Grab weapon power-ups whenever it is safe. A level 3 spread fires a wide fan of seven shots.
Spread or laser
The spread shot fires a wide fan that is best against swarms and planes coming from several directions. The laser melts big targets quickly, such as gunboats, blimps and bosses. If a boss is coming soon, a laser is a strong choice; for crowded waves, spread keeps the screen clear. Blimps and gunboats take many hits, which is where the laser shines.
Use bombs and shields
A bomb clears every enemy bullet on screen. You start with two and can carry up to five, so use one when you are trapped rather than losing a life. Keep at least one for each boss fight. A shield absorbs one hit without costing a life, so grab it before a tough wave. Bomb power-ups also drop during waves, so do not be too stingy.
Beat the bosses
Every fifth wave brings a flying fortress, and each one is tougher than the last. Stay low, focus on dodging its patterns and keep firing at the centre. Defeating a boss drops a bomb and a weapon power-up, which helps you rebuild for the next waves. During a boss fight, dodging matters more than damage.
