How to Solve Jigsaw Snap: Jigsaw Puzzle Tips
Jigsaw Snap paints a fresh scene for every puzzle, from mountain lakes to coral reefs, and cuts it into 16, 36 or 64 pieces. Pieces snap into place when dropped close to their spot. A good method makes even the 64-piece puzzles quick and relaxing, and helps you score well too.

Build the frame first
Turn on the edge filter so only border pieces show in the tray. Edge pieces have one straight side, and corners have two, which makes them easy to place. A finished frame gives you fixed reference points for everything else and shows exactly how big the picture is.
Sort by colour and zone
Each scene has clear zones: sky, water, ground, buildings or space. Group the remaining pieces in your head by colour, then fill one zone at a time. Sky and water pieces are easy to tell apart, and details such as a moon, a planet ring or a bright window are great anchors to place early.
Use the guide picture wisely
The eye button shows a faint guide picture on the board. Use it to check where a distinctive piece belongs, then turn it off if you want more of a challenge. On 64 pieces, glancing at the guide to find the right zone for a piece saves a lot of trial and error.
Read the tabs and blanks
Pieces are cut with real tabs and blanks. When two pieces look similar in colour, compare their shapes: a piece with two tabs on opposite sides cannot fit a spot that needs a blank there. If the tray is cluttered, reshuffle it to bring different pieces into view.
Work from pieces you have already placed. Look at an empty spot next to the finished area, note the colours its neighbours show at the edges, and search the tray for a piece that continues them. Building outward from what is done is much faster than placing random pieces in the middle.
Score higher
Finishing faster gives a time bonus, and each hint costs 15 points. Use the edge filter and the guide picture first, as they are free, and keep hints for a last stubborn piece. Finishing a 64-piece puzzle with no hints earns the Jigsaw Master achievement.
