Ice Shootout puts you on both ends of a hockey shootout. First you skate in on the goalie, steering left and right to pull them out of position, and shoot into the open corner. Then you swap to the net and slide across the crease to stop the computer's shooter. Each side takes five shots; if it is still level, sudden death decides the winner. Three difficulty levels change how sharp the goalie and shooter are.
How to play
- Choose Easy, Normal or Hard and press Play.
- When shooting, drag left and right to steer the skater and fake out the goalie.
- Tap the net (or flick upward) to shoot at that spot.
- When defending, drag to slide your goalie and tap to drop into a wide butterfly.
- After five rounds each, the higher score wins; a tie goes to sudden death.
Controls

Tips
- A quick change of direction just before shooting leaves the goalie behind.
- Aim for the corner away from the goalie, not the middle.
- In goal, watch for the red wind-up circle: the shot is coming.
Questions
- What happens if I skate too close?
- The goalie will poke the puck away, so shoot before you reach the crease.
- How does sudden death work?
- Both sides keep shooting one at a time. If one scores and the other does not in the same round, the game ends.
