Darts 501 is a pub-style darts game against the computer. Hold to aim and keep steady as the wobble shrinks, then release to throw. Count down from 501 and finish exactly on a double before the CPU, or practise in the Around the clock mode.
How to play
- Choose 501 vs CPU or Around the clock.
- Press and hold to aim; hold steady and the wobble shrinks.
- Release to throw your dart. You get three darts per visit.
- In 501, subtract your score each visit and finish exactly on zero with a double.
- Going below zero, or to one, is a bust and your visit does not count.
Controls
- Computer
- Hold the mouse button to aim and release to throw. Or aim with the arrow keys, hold Space to steady and release to throw.
- Phone and tablet
- Press and hold to aim, then let go to throw.
Tips
- Aim for treble 20 to bring your score down fast.
- Plan your finish so you are left on an even number for the double.
- Do not hold too long: your hand starts to tire.
Questions
- Why does 501 need a double?
- That is the classic rule: your last dart must land in a double to bring your score exactly to zero.
- What is Around the clock?
- A practice mode where you hit the numbers 1 to 20 in order.
